German ambassador to UK not sorry for leaked call
The German ambassador to the United Kingdom, Andreas Michaelis, has caused controversy after a leaked call revealed him criticizing the British government’s handling of Brexit negotiations.
In the call, Michaelis reportedly described the UK government as “chaotic” and expressed doubts about their ability to secure a good deal with the EU. He also questioned the leadership skills of Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Despite the backlash, Michaelis has refused to apologize for his comments, stating that he stands by his assessment of the situation.
The leaked call has further strained relations between the UK and Germany, with some British politicians calling for Michaelis to be expelled from the country.
